Gong Xi Fa Cai 新年快乐! Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino celebrates 2019 Lunar New Year

On February 5, 2019, Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino Mactan celebrated the arrival of the Year of the Earth Pig, with the festivities kicking off during lunch time.
The traditional dragon lantern dance and the dotting of the lion’s eyes was performed within the lobby premises, inviting the guests feel the Lunar New Year atmosphere. The WAHC lobby was decorated with festive red adornments such as the temple, hong bao 红包 (red envelopes) and lanterns, symbolizing wealth and prosperity.
This ushering of the new year was attended by special guests, media, and the management team of WAHC.
Led by Rex Benhur Caballes, WAHC Hotel Manager, the guests helped themselves with scrumptious servings of Chinese food at Uno Buffet Restaurant for lunch. Each media guest brought home nian gao 年糕 or tikoy and a big red bean macaron cake.
WAHC hopes this new year be reflective of the Earth Pig’s round belly and long ears: full of happiness and good fortune.
